Destiny - Xbox One Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Added: 23.09.2014 15:12 | 5 views | 0 comments

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: Hype is a dangerous thing. It helps to sell games, but it also elevates expectations. Take Watch Dogs, which was one of my most anticipated games of last year. I was beyond excited to get a chance to play it and when I did? I liked it (I scored it a 7.5 out of 10), but I didn't love it. I have had a few other games I have been hugely excited for such Super Smash Bros, The Division and yes - Destiny. Did Destiny live up to all of my wildest hopes and dreams? No, I suppose not. Did it disappoint me the way Watch Dogs did? No, not really because I still play it daily and enjoy my time with it. Destiny may get run over by its own hype machine, but it is a good game in and of itself.

He goes on to say that Watch Dogs' initial reception was similar to another Ubisoft franchise, which is now one of the company's crown jewels. "The reception has actually been pretty close to Assassin's Creed [1]," he said. "With the first one we didn't have such a good reception, and it was fair. We had a lot of flaws in the replayability of gameplay loops and you could feel that the game was a first iteration."

Does Watch Dogs need a Bad Blood transfusion to survive?

Added: 23.09.2014 3:16 | 1 views | 0 comments

If you played Watch Dogs you probably know how everything works. How you can hack just about anything. Though, being an interesting concept, the game did not live up to manys expectations. The game unfortunately did not make a big enough impact as it should have. With an unchanging boring protagonist and having less control over what you hack then what was thought, damaged peoples perspective on what the game could have been.
